Government Launches Chief Minister’s Skill Development Project to Create Employment Opportunities

Agartala: Dec 14: The government, with a focus on the Chief Minister’s Skill Development Project, aims to create employment opportunities for the youth of the state. Through skill development, unemployed youth can become self-reliant in various fields. This was stated by Santana Chakma, the state’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, at an event organized today to raise awareness about MMDEUP.

Today, Minister Santana Chakma flagged off a promotional vehicle for this purpose and unveiled a logo. Similar promotional vehicles will be launched in every district. Through these, information about the government’s various skill development programs will be disseminated.

 

Among others present at the event were the Minister of State for the Department of Industry and Commerce, Brishketu Devvarma, the Chairman of the South Zonal Area of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Pradeep Chand, and renowned state cricketer Manishankar Murasing.

 

Speaking at the event, Minister Santana Chakma said that the main goal of the Chief Minister’s Skill Development Project is to provide training and employment to unemployed youth so that they can become self-reliant. She also informed that they are planning to launch an app so that those who want to be trained in a particular subject can inform about it. Training will be arranged accordingly. She stated that Rs. 50 crore has been allocated for this 5-year project.
