Agartala: Nov 03: Government aims to provide income to every household. For this purpose, various schemes of the central and state governments are being extended to the people of marginalized areas. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratanlal Nath said this while inaugurating the newly constructed shelter house of Mohanpur Municipal Council at Mohanpur Block Complex today.

On this day, the Agriculture Minister said that the government has taken initiative to build a self-reliant Tripura.

On the occasion, Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath also said that the state government is planning to construct such shelter houses in various subdivisions. Already 8 shelter houses have been constructed including Mohanpur. Self-help groups or NGOs can generate income and employment opportunities by running these shelter houses.

Mohanpur Municipal council Chairperson Anita Debnath, Vice Chairperson Shankar Dev, Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Reena Debbarma, Vice Chairman Rakesh Dev, Urban Development Department Officer Rajatkanti Dey, Social Worker Shyamal Debnath and others were present on the occasion. Subhash Dutta, Sub-Divisional Ruler of Mohanpur Sub-division gave the welcome speech.

 

Note that Rs 1 crore 67 lakh 42 thousand has been spent on the construction of this shelter house with 50 beds.
