Demonstration surrounded the CM and office of North District
The villagers surrounded the office of the North District Chief Health Officer.
Residents of Ragna Sakaibari and Bhagyapur villages besieged the office of the Chief Health Officer of Dharmanagar on Wednesday, September 20. Villagers of three villages laid siege in front of the Chief Health Officer’s office and began to raise their demands. They said that North District Chief Health Officer Dr. Arunabh Chakraborty and District Incharge Video Dr. Rahul Purkayast are deliberately maligning the government. Crores of rupees from National Health Mission are given to North district but that money is not being spent properly. The villagers besieged them alleging that this money was being spent on personal interests instead of for the benefit of the people. They want answers from the Chief Health Officer and the video as to why there is a scheme going on to defame the government by depriving people of proper services and destroying people’s trust in the government. Meanwhile, Chief Health Officer Dr. Arunabh Chakraborty said that he is working as per the instructions of the government. Government orders are considered in the interest of the people, so he is also working in the interest of the people. Those who organized today’s siege campaign demanding charges against him and the video have organized this work without understanding the instigation of someone or someone. The money of National Health Mission is being spent properly and it is not being spent for personal benefit of anyone.
