Agartala, October 2: The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, is being celebrated with due dignity across the country as well as in the state. Minister Santana Chakma hoisted the national flag at Gandhi Ghat on the occasion of Gandhi’s birth anniversary this morning. Moreover, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, is being celebrated with due dignity today at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan.

On this day, Minister Santana Chakma garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

Moreover, all the leaders of the state Congress visited Gandhighat and paid their respects at Gandhi’s mausoleum. A short program has been organized at Congress Bhavan on this day. Former Chief Minister Sameer Ranjan Barman, State Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Sudeep Roy Barman, Former MLA Diba Chandra Hrankhawl, State Women’s Congress Leader Smt Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty and other state leaders were present on the occasion.
