Agartala, March 7, 2024 — Former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Deb, who is currently the BJP candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the people of the state. Speaking at a press conference held at the state BJP office, Deb reflected on his journey and the impact of the local populace on his identity.
Deb acknowledged that when he arrived in Tripura in 2015, he lacked recognition. However, over time, the collective support of the state’s residents propelled him into the limelight on the global stage. He emphasized that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Congress may serve as political opponents, but it was the people’s unwavering commitment that led to the BJP’s ascendancy in 2018.
During his tenure as Chief Minister, Deb encountered challenges and acknowledged that some tasks remained incomplete. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with the responsibility to fulfill those endeavors.
Recalling his early days in Tripura, Deb credited journalists and select Communist leaders and supporters for their backing. Their collaboration played a pivotal role in the formation of the BJP government in the state.
Deb also commended the current Chief Minister and the entire team for their diligent work. As the nation anticipates a potential third term for a Modi-led government, Deb urged Tripura’s citizens to cast their votes in favor of the lotus symbol, symbolizing the BJP, and thereby strengthen Narendra Modi’s leadership.
In a candid appeal, Deb assured voters that his actions were transparent and devoid of conspiracy. He encouraged them to support him if they resonated with his vision and to contribute to the continued progress under Modi’s leadership.
