Agartala: July 12: Political tension continues around the panchayat elections in the state. Candidates supported by the Left Front were attacked by the miscreants of the ruling party while submitting their nomination papers today. CPM attacked the ruling party BJP by raising such allegations. The level of complaints did not stop there. Bricks were pelted on them in front of the police and many leaders and activists including State Secretariat member and former MLA Sudhan Das were injured. CPM blocked the road in protest.

Sudhan Das, a member of the state secretariat and former MLA, alleged that all preparations were made to submit the nomination papers for Panchayat Samiti and various Panchayats in Rajnagar block under Bilonia sub-division from this morning. But hundreds of miscreants of the ruling party BJP had gathered in Rajnagar school. In front of the police, they organized attacks on leftist leaders and activists. Several leaders and workers were injured.

 

On this day, he also alleged that the BJP government has spread corruption in the panchayats of the state. Today BJP is not able to field candidates in elections. Because they are isolated. According to him, the people will vote against BJP in the panchayat elections, this fear is working in them.
