Agartala: Jul 11: Based on secret information Amar Pur forest range authority raided in Baishyamoni Para under Ampi nagar block in Gomati Tripura today and recovered much quantity of illegal sawed woods from spot. As per the report, a gang of forest destroyer was active here in Ampi nagar Baishyamoni Para jungle in Killa road who were destroying forest resources rapidly. When the gang came into the notice of the local villagers they informed the forest officials. After being informed the forest officials a team from Amar Pur range office arrived to the spot and recovered these illegal plits of woods and taken to Amar Pur forest office. As per the officials, sensing the promptness of the forest officials all the criminals have escaped from the spot including all their instruments. Bikram Debbarma, Ampi PS OC, Malen Debbarma, Amar Pur forest protection 2nd incharge and his team unitedly took active part in the operation. The local villagers have appreciated the achievement and appealed the concerned authority to take strict action against forest destroyer gangs.
