Agartala December 8: Officials of the Food Department under the office of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Governor raided the Maharajganj market on Friday. They raided warehouses of various types of food items, including fast food outlets.

During the raid, the officials of the Food Department recovered ten sacks of ration rice from the rice shop of M/s Corona Roy. Along with this ten sacks of rice have been seized and kept in ration shop number 245 located in Krishnanagar. The rice shop of M/s Karuna Roy was closed. Apart from this, due to lack of necessary documents in the rice shops of Krishna Saha and Satya Narayan Saha, a condolence notice will be issued, said the official of the Food Department. Two LPG domestic cylinders were seized from the Kutumbari restaurant. On this day, officials of the Food Department, Debjyoti Chakraborty, Sharmistha Das, Nivedita Chowdhury and others were present in this operation.
