Agartala: June 04: As the counting of votes began across the country, another frenzy gripped the nation. After 40 minutes of counting, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) emerged as the front-runner in the initial reports. However, the battle is far from over, with a twist of uncertainty due to independent alliances and collisions.

The NDA currently leads in 206 seats, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead in 176 of those. On the other side, the Independent alliance is making a strong showing, leading in 128 seats. Among them, the Indian National Congress (INC) has advanced in 67 seats, while other smaller parties are leading in 13 seats.
