Dr. Vishal Kumar, the District Magistrate and Chief Electoral Officer of West Tripura District, conducted an inspection at the Umakanta Academy. Accompanied by district officials, he assessed the preparations at the strong room and counting hall within the academy premises.

A total of 15 strong rooms will be available across the old and new buildings of Umakanta Academy. The new pucca building will house the counting center. CCTV cameras will monitor the strong room and counting hall. Once the EVM machines are secured in the strong room, the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will assume responsibility for their safety.

The arrival of the EVM machines signals the election’s imminent approach. Simultaneously, the election code of conduct has been enforced since 3 pm on the day of the announcement. To prevent any violations, public awareness campaigns are underway through miking in Agartala city.

As the electoral machinery gears up, citizens eagerly await their chance to shape the democratic process in Tripura.

The Election Commission’s meticulous preparations and security protocols underscore the significance of these polls. With the EVMs in place and the code of conduct in effect, the electoral landscape in Tripura is poised for action. Voters, candidates, and observers alike anticipate the unfolding drama as democracy takes center stage.
