Agartala, March 24: The process of election of Speaker in Tripura Assembly started today. The MLAs of Tipra Matha boycotted the polls at the beginning expressing their dissatisfaction with the arrangement of sitting in the assembly. As a result, BJP alliance candidate Bishwabandhu Sen is assumed to win the post of principal because, CPM, Congress and Tipra Matha united and fielded opposition candidates for the post of Principal.

But now the opposition candidate will not get the votes of 13 MLAs. Moreover, the BJP alliance has a majority in the assembly. Naturally, it is by no means impossible for the opposition candidate to win the election.
