Himangraj Bhattacharya, the All India General Secretary of DYFI, addressed the gathering and criticized the BJP government for misleading the people of Tripura, similar to other states, when it came to power in 2018. He stated that in the six years since, the government has failed to address the problems faced by the people. The state’s unemployed youth are struggling with a lack of job opportunities, and many have been forced to become migrant workers, with some even returning home in coffins. He also pointed out the growing addiction to drugs in the state, which is leading some individuals down a destructive path.

In light of these issues, Bhattacharya emphasized that the people of Tripura are becoming increasingly frustrated with the current government. He stated that the public is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to oust the BJP government and reinstate a Left Front government in the state. He warned that if the current government is allowed to continue, it would devastate Tripura. To defeat these communal forces, Bhattacharya urged everyone to strengthen their ideology and continue the struggle with determination. The rally, which began in Hapania, passed through various parts of the city and culminated in the Badarghat area.
