DYFI and TYF Demand Punishment for TTE Accused of Assaulting Young Woman on Moving Train

Agartala: May 16: In response to an incident where a young woman was allegedly assaulted by a Ticket Examiner (TTE) on a moving train, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and the Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) have voiced their concerns. Today, both left-wing youth organizations submitted a deputation to the station manager at Agartala railway station.

The organizations expressed deep apprehension regarding the quality of railway services and passenger safety within the state. Just two days ago, a female passenger faced harassment from the TTE during her journey. The situation escalated when the TTE physically confronted the woman. In protest, DYFI and TYF have demanded appropriate punishment for the accused TTE and emphasized the need for enhanced passenger safety measures.
