Drug Dealer Arrested in Agartala

Agartala: July 21; Based on a tip-off, police from East Agartala Police Station arrested a drug dealer named Naheed Mia. The police had received information that he had been selling drugs on a scooter in various locations across Agartala city. Acting on this information, East Agartala Police Station apprehended him on Saturday evening. Drugs worth approximately Rs 3 lakh were recovered from him.

East Agartala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rana Chatterjee stated that Naheed Mia will be produced in court. He further mentioned that the accused had been attempting to sell drugs in the College Tilla and Jagahorimura areas on Saturday evening when the police successfully apprehended him. It was revealed that some youths from the Amtali and Phultali areas are involved with him, with Naheed being the head of this gang. His residence is in the Jagahorimura area. The police have not disclosed the names of the other individuals involved to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation. However, Chatterjee expressed confidence that the remaining drug dealers will be apprehended soon.
