Agartala, April 25 Five people, including a woman, were arrested at Agartala railway station on Tuesday while smuggling ganja in a novel manner. Ganja traffickers who go are now involving women in this smuggling trade On Tuesday, an attempt was made to smuggle ganja inside an AC machine in the train But their strategy did not succeed The GRP jawans managed to nab five people including a woman in a suspicious raid at the Agartala railway station. According to the details of the incident, a woman was arrested from Agartala railway station with a gauze The woman was going to Bihar with ganja inside the AC machine GRP SP Amitabh Pal said that a special operation is underway against drug addiction As part of that, a search operation was conducted at Agartala railway station today A total of 5 people were arrested today in the search operation 1 in 5 is a woman An AC machine was with the woman Some dry gauze was recovered from inside that AC machine Police said that such operations will continue A case has been registered against them under specific sections It has been informed that the vigilance and activity of GRPF will be increased to prevent smuggling of ganja by rail. It is noted that there is extensive cultivation of ganja in different parts of the state without regard to laws and regulations Produced in the state is being smuggled to and from outside Gaza through various techniques Although the state government has taken a strict stance against such addictions, handling the situation has become quite a challenge The ganja smugglers continue to smuggle ganja with new tricks defying the efforts of the government and administration.
