Agartala March 6: Defying all speculations, the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power for the second time with a single-digit majority in the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly elections. The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected MLAs of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly will be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on March 8.
Assembly leaders and other ministers will take oath on that day. And for the purpose of electing this assembly leader, a meeting was held with the newly elected MLAs and MLAs at the state BJP’s election office on Monday. State President Rajeev Bhattacharya, State Presiding Officer Mahesh Sharma, Assam Minister Parimal Shuklabaidya, State Spokesperson and North Eastern Coordinator Sambit Patra, MLA Pratima Bhaumik, MP Rebati Kumar Tripura was present in the meeting. All the newly elected MLAs attended this meeting. Dr. Manik Saha was elected as the Chief Minister for the second time as the leader of the assembly in today’s assembly meeting. And that proposal was accepted by the rich vote. His name was proposed by MLA Pratima Bhowmik. Assam Minister Parimal Shuklabaidya informed about this decision taken in the meeting.
He also said that after the name was raised by the proposer, all the newly elected MLAs supported him. BJP’s state and central leadership felicitated Dr. Manik Saha after being elected as the council leader for the second time. At the same time congratulated the newly elected MLAs and others.
