The 133rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R Ambedkar, author of the Indian Constitution, was celebrated on Friday, 14th April, with various programs across the country as well as in the state. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on the morning of April 14th, on the initiative of Tapashili Jati Kalyan Department, Hon’ble Chief Minister of this state Prof. Dr. Manik Saha laid wreaths on the portrait of Dr. B.R Ambedkar in the premises of Ujjayant Palace. Also present on this day were Tapashili Kalyan Minister Sudhanshu Das, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Sri Deepak Majumder, former principal Revati Das and others. A procession left from Rabindra Bhavan this morning Tapashili Welfare Minister Sudhanshu Das, students of various schools and others participated in this procession. On this day, the foundation stone of the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar was laid in the Tripura Assembly premises. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Secretary Kalyani Roy, Deputy Speaker Sri Ramprasad Pal and Minister Sudhanshu Das and others were present.
On this day, the initiative of Bharatiya Janata Party Pradesh Tapashili Jati Morcha Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary was also celebrated at the BJP state office Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, BJP State President Rajeev Bhattacharya, Tabashili Jati Morcha Pradesh President Tuton Das and others were present.
