Agartala, April 12, 2024 — The door-to-door polling phase of the Lok Sabha elections has drawn to a close, with citizens exercising their right to vote across West Tripura. Today, women, men, and individuals over 85 years old participated in this democratic process. The returning officer of the West Tripura parliamentary seat, along with the District Magistrate of West Tripura, confirmed this development.

In a parallel effort, the door-to-door polling process was conducted yesterday and today for the West Tripura Parliamentary Constituencies and the 7 Ramnagar Assembly constituencies. Looking ahead, house-to-house polling is scheduled for the East Tripura Parliamentary Constituency on April 17 and 18.

Notably, a total of 4,581 people exercised their right to vote from home in the West Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency. Similarly, 4,720 people cast their votes from home in the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat.

District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar highlighted that a voter from the 6 Agartala Assembly Constituency is unwell. Consequently, he has appealed to the voter to utilize the postal ballot option.
