Agartala: Mar 03: The Tripura Veterinary Doctor`s Association,  organised the Agartala Dog Show at the Vivekananda stadium on Sunday. The stadium was filled with over two hundred German Shepherds, Labradors, Rottweilers, Dalmatian and Spitz from across the country. Thousands of dog lovers gathered there to witness the show, while others came with their pets. The venue had a rink for the animal to run as each breed had separate contests to be judged. The animals were divided into different classes such as puppy, open dogs category and also on gender. Medals were distributed among the winners. More than 60 dogs of twelve breeds took part in the show, whose major sponsor was Pawsome.  According to organisers, the main idea behind hosting this show is to encourage people to breed dogs and get to know more about the ways to improve their nutrition, keep them healthy by vaccinating and other necessary awareness.
