Agartala June 15: The government is taking no initiative to fill up the vacant posts of physio therapists in the state. Therefore, a delegation of All Tripura Unemployed Physiotherapists Forum gave a deputation to the director of the health department on Thursday with the aim of realizing a total of 5 demands including immediate filling of vacancies.

On this day, the delegation of Unemployed Physiotherapists first gathered with placards in front of the office of the Director of Health Department at Gurkhabasti with play cards. Then they protested about the current unemployment problem. Later, a delegation went to the office of the director of the health department and handed over a memorandum containing 5 points of demand to the director. An unemployed physiotherapist said that after 2017, Tripura government has not employed any kind of physiotherapist. He said that the director of the health department has assured to look into the matter seriously.
