Agartala: Dec 02: The dead body of a vagabond was found on the side of the road this morning. Hariganga Basak Road, adjacent to the West Police Station, caused a stir in the incident. The police rushed to the spot after receiving the information. A police officer said that the dead person had deep injuries on his head. The police recovered the body and took it to the hospital for post-mortem.

It is known that the dead person’s name is Abdul Kalam (70). The house is in South Joynagar area. Most of the time he used to leave his house and wander around the city like a vagabond. On Saturday, a body covered with a sheet was recovered on the pavement on the side of the road on Hariganga Basak Road, adjacent to the West Police Station. Local traders initially thought the man might be sleeping on the street. As the man did not move for a long time, the police was informed.

 

After the police went and lifted the sheet, they found deep injuries on the head of the deceased. Local people are suspecting this incident to be murder after seeing the head injury. Later, the police informed the family of the deceased and sent the body for post-mortem. A police official said, after the post-mortem, something can be confirmed in this regard. The police have started an investigation into the unusual death case.
