Dead body of ambulance driver recovered

Agartala: Feb 17: The body of an ambulance driver, Srinibas Sarkar, was recovered from the quarters of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital on Monday morning. His wife and other family members have demanded a proper investigation into the incident. Srinibas Sarkar, whose father’s name was the late Lokchandra Sarkar, hailed from Amtali Kuripukur area and had been working at Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for seven years as an ambulance driver. He is survived by his wife and a young child.

On Sunday night, he transported a patient from Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital to Agartala GBP Hospital. When he was called again on Monday morning to transport another patient, he did not respond. The hospital staff broke down the door of his quarters and found his body inside. Bishalgarh police were immediately informed and rushed to the scene.

 

Following the news of his death, his wife and relatives arrived at the hospital. Currently, his body is in the morgue of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. His wife has stated that there are many mysteries surrounding his death and has called for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth. According to doctors, Srinibas Sarkar was a high blood pressure patient and required medication. The incident is now under investigation by the police.
