The operation unfolded when the police received information that a substantial quantity of narcotics was poised to enter the state. Acting swiftly, officers conducted a thorough search of a passenger Bolero car with the license plate number TR01BG0314, which had just entered the state from Aizawl. Their efforts yielded a substantial haul of Yaba tablets, with an estimated market value of approximately Rs 6 crore.

North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty confirmed the arrests of two individuals in connection with the drug seizure. The apprehended suspects are identified as Krishna Chandra Singh, a resident of Ranirbazar, and Mohammad Hossain, a resident of Bishalgarh.
