Agartala: Dec 16: Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers awarded this year’s Hrishikesh Saha Memorial Merit Festival Scholarship to Moon Sutradhar – a student of exceptional and outstanding talent. This promising student has been selected for the scholarship due to his consistent academic excellence. Based on her merit and talent, the girl from Kamalpur, a small town in Tripura, got the opportunity to study in Miranda College, New Delhi by topping the All India Entrance Examination for higher education.Moon Sutradhar’s father Shri Harimohan Sutradhar is a carpenter by profession. It is difficult for Moon’s family to make all arrangements for the cost of studying in this college from Delhi. It will all be met through the Hrishikesh Saha Merit Scholarship. Her tutor, Vani Kantha Sharma is an unheralded teacher who is a key figure behind nurturing many talented students like Moon Sutradhar. He is also honored for his tireless efforts as a teacher and his selfless contribution in producing brilliant students.On 16th December 2022, a special program titled “Hrishikesh Saha Medha Utsav” was organized on the occasion of Hrishikesh Saha’s 82nd birth anniversary. Hrishikesh Saha, during his lifetime, touched the hearts and minds of people through his work. He has worked throughout his life for good health, excellence in education and sports, social welfare and various important issues of society. He himself was a brilliant student and excelled in sports. Has excelled in studies and represented his college (MBB, Agartala) in badminton. Hence, saw champions in the making and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever anyone needed it. As the President of Tripura Basketball Association and an active member of Cricket Association of Bengal, Hrishikesh Saha Anand contributed significantly to the promotion of the sport and the development of players. He has left his contribution as a founding member of the Rotary Club of Agartala.He was an avid traveler. Traveling was a lifelong learning experience for him. The burning flame of the society who was popularly known as ‘Hrishi-da’, the work he did throughout his life is still remembered with reverence, respect and joy by all. Hrishikesh Saha was truly a role model for all. He, who believed in his heart with devotion and devotion, has shown the way. His wife Bela Saha said, “My husband lived a healthy and happy life all his life. And that’s what he wished for everyone. Because he believed that if everyone was healthy and happy, society would be healthy.” He also said, “During his lifetime he actively worked for excellence in the field of education.””That is why he is remembered today by those whose lives were inspired by that man. And they can still celebrate life happily,” said Rupak Saha, son of Hrishikesh Saha. He also said, “That is why we commemorate Baba’s birth anniversary with health camps, distribution of blankets and winter clothes and merit festivals.
