Agartala: May 29: The upcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections will see the counting day take place on June 4. In North District, preparations are underway to ensure a transparent and efficient enumeration process. Here are the key details:

North District will have four counting centers in Dharmanagar, one in Pani Sagar, and two in Kanchanpur. A security zone of up to 100 meters will be established around each counting center, restricting vehicle movement. Three security layers will be in place, with mandatory ID card checks for entry. Journalists will be allowed to operate mobile devices and other equipment only within designated media centers. Entry to the counting center will require permission from the authorized personnel. Round-wise results will be announced via microphones to maintain transparency. The administration has conducted meetings with various Assistant Returning Officers (ARs) at the sub-divisional level. The State Chief Electoral Officer has also inspected the counting centers.
