Consumers Protest Over Delay in Receiving Lighthouse Flats in Agartala

Agartala: Mar 18: Consumers from various districts of the state gathered at the TUDA office today to protest against the delay in receiving the promised Lighthouse flats located at Agartala Border Golchakkar. The housing project was originally scheduled for completion in 2022.

The protesters claimed that despite making payments in two to three installments to the TUDA office, no progress has been made, leaving them without the promised housing. They demanded either a refund of their payments or immediate arrangements for the flats to be handed over.

 

During the protest, representatives met with the state’s Joint Secretary and submitted a formal appeal to the Chief Minister, urging effective action to resolve the issue. The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction and frustration over the prolonged inaction but conveyed hope that their grievances will be addressed promptly.
