According to a Congress worker, Abhijit Dey, who taught at Taibandal Class XII School, was abducted from a tong shop on Udaipur Central Road and brutally beaten by the main accused, Jayanta Saha and Shankar Karmakar, both residents of Udaipur Poultry Road.

Following the assault, the accused informed the Radha Kishorepur police station, and the police took Abhijit Dey into custody. On August 9th, he was produced in court under the POCSO Act, but due to his critical condition, the court granted him bail. Despite this, Abhijit Dey succumbed to his injuries.

The complainant alleges that Abhijit Dey was taken to court without receiving necessary medical treatment, which contributed to his death. In response, Congress workers have joined the protest, calling for legal action against the police and doctors involved in the case.
