Congress protests in Agartala against disqualification of Rahul Gandhi

Agartala, April 8: Under the nationwide programme Congress staged a protest in Agartala against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership.

Former MLA Asish Kumar Saha, who also took part in the protest alleged that the disqualification has been engineered by the BJP led government at the centre in order to stop his voice in the Parliament as he raising question to the Prime Minister on the source of Rs 20,000 crores investment in defence related companies of Adani. Moreover, Rahul Gandhi also brought charges of corruption but Modi is maintaining silence on the issues as unable to reply.

Shah added that today across the country in Modi rule corruption has spread throughout in an organised manner and as the Congress and Rahul Gandhi is trying to raise the voice of the public against this corruption, so to stop him the conspiracy has been hatched to disqualify him.

Meantime, under the leadership Tripura Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha the protest started from the Congress Bhavan and as it was moving towards the Gandhi statue near Circuit House, police stopped the protesters near Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan area and detained them.Congress is going to organize similar protests in other district of Tripura on the same issue.
