Agartala: Feb 06: Jeevan Bima and State Bank held a protest in front of the LIC office and SBI Bank on Monday in front of the LIC office and SBI Bank on the initiative of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Headquarters District Congress Committee to demand an answer from the Central Government as to why the money deposited by the people was handed over to the Adani Group. The Congress party also held a district-level protest in Tripura as part of its nationwide agitation program in front of the Life Insurance Corporation and the State Bank of India on Monday. The Congress alleged that PM Modi forced LIC, SBI and other public sector banks to invest in the Adani Group. LIC has invested heavily in Adani Group and in the last few days 39 crore policy holders and LIC investors have been affected. State Bank of India and other Indian banks have extended huge loans to the Adani Group Congress party was never against any particular Indian corporate house The Congress party continues to struggle to initiate discussion on the issue in Parliament Alleged by the Congress party, investments by LIC, public sector banks and financial institutions are losing market value, jeopardizing the hard-earned savings of crores of Indians. On Monday, February 6, large marches and protests were organized by the Pradesh Congress at LIC offices and SBI offices in all district headquarters.
