Agartala: Oct 07: Tensions are running high in Tripura’s Kadamtala, with Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman pointing fingers at the ruling BJP for orchestrating unrest to gain political mileage. Barman claims the BJP has been trying to incite riots across the state, and after failing in Gandacherra and Ranirbazar, they’re now targeting Kadamtala .
The situation in Kadamtala is grim, with one person killed in police firing and allegations of “tyranny of money” imposed by BJP outsiders . Barman accuses the BJP of using external forces to destabilize the region, prioritizing their political interests over peace and stability. He urges peace-loving citizens to take action, saying, “We must take to the streets to establish peace” ¹.
This isn’t the first time Barman has criticized the BJP. Previously, he accused them of using religion for political gain and sowing seeds of anarchy . The BJP, however, denies these allegations, with Minister Bikash Debbarma refuting corruption claims and accusing Barman of disrespecting Tripura’s indigenous community
