Agartala: April 21: Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, Biplab Kumar Deb, has intensified his election campaign in the North District, taking a strong stance against the opposition. Deb emphasized that the Communists ruled Tripura for 25 years based on falsehoods, merely promising progress without substantial action.
Comparing past allocations, Deb highlighted that the UPA government had earmarked a mere 40 thousand crore rupees for Tripura over a decade. In contrast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invested a staggering 1 lakh crore rupees in the state’s development over the last 10 years. His initiatives have led to significant improvements in infrastructure, including roads, access to clean drinking water, and housing for the common people.
Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country and its citizens have witnessed positive transformations. People have become more self-reliant, no longer relying on mere slogans. From education to employment opportunities and essential provisions, the Prime Minister’s actions have addressed critical issues faced by farmers and citizens alike.
In light of these achievements, Biplab Kumar Deb called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lead the government for a third term in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. On Sunday, during an election rally in the Naising neighborhood of Kanchanpur, Deb urged voters to support the BJP, while also criticizing the opposition.
Tipra Matha supremo, Pradyuth Kishore Devavarman, was also present at the rally, emphasizing the party’s commitment to progress.
Following the Kanchanpur event, Biplab Kumar Deb participated in a procession and a public meeting at Pecharthal, where the presence of party workers and supporters was evident. His campaign efforts were on behalf of Kriti Singh Debbarma, the BJP’s nominated candidate for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat.
