Agartala: December 02. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday appealed to the Karyakartas to focus on the micro level to create awareness about the different flagship schemes of the state and central government, which will eventually strengthen the bonding between the party and the people.

Addressing an organizational meeting at Ramchandraghat in Khowai district, Dr. Saha said that the present BJP government always believes in development for all.

“We feel proud that we have guardians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, and under their leadership, we are working. Our main aim is to move this country forward with the Jaati and Janajatis. We don’t believe in the politics of divide and rule. We want to stay with all. Our government is working to provide all the flagship schemes to the last man of society”, said Dr Saha.

He said that on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, PM Modi has flagged off vans that will reach the areas where people have not benefited from government schemes.

“Our work should be done at the micro level. PM Modi also said that we should work not only for the development of the socio-economic status of Janajatis but also for quality improvement. We believe in work, not in long speeches,” said Dr. Saha.

He also slammed the erstwhile governments for not giving due respect to the Maharajas of Tripura.

“We have heard that the Maharajas of Tripura did nothing for the people of Tripura, which was wrong. After our government came, we have highlighted the contribution of the Manikya dynasty to the development of Tripura. We have given due respect to the Manikya dynasty of Tripura, which nobody gave before. We are working for the development of the indigenous. We have seen how earlier they used to play politics of divide and rule, which hampered development. Our government is working for overall development. We must stay connected at the micro or booth level and inform people about the schemes of the state and central government,” he said.

Dr Saha also had lunch at the residence of Tapajit Debbarma, Upa Pradhan of East Ramchandraghat Gram Panchayat.

He said, “In our rich culture, serving food on banana leaves is a tradition. Today, among various programs in Khowai district, I had lunch with Rajib Bhattacharya, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, at the residence of Tapajit Debbarma, Upa Pradhan of East Ramchandraghat Gram Panchayat. I am impressed by the hospitality of Tapajit Debbarma and his family”.

During the program BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Janajati Kalyan Minister Bikas Debbarma, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury were present.
