Agartala, Nov 13 — Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday said that the state government’s foremost goal is to enhance the quality of life of every citizen by addressing core public issues and ensuring balanced socio-economic growth across Tripura.
He was speaking at a programme held at Manikbhandar Harachandra HS School ground in Kamalpur, Dhalai district, where he inaugurated 20 development projects and laid the foundation stones for two more, worth a total of ₹207 crore. The projects span multiple sectors, including rural and urban development, health, education, public works, and national highways.
Dr. Saha highlighted that the government has been working tirelessly since 2018 to bring holistic development to Dhalai, one of the state’s aspirational districts. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always stressed that development must reach the last person in society. The Central Government is extending strong support to Tripura in this mission,” he said.
Taking a dig at the opposition, the Chief Minister remarked, “Development is visible everywhere, but some refuse to acknowledge it. The state is witnessing progress like never before.”
He added that major infrastructure initiatives are underway across the state — including new health centres, office buildings, bridges, schools, hostels, markets, and sports facilities — aimed at boosting connectivity and public welfare.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to “Viksit Tripura” in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” Dr. Saha said, “Development is a continuous process. The government is dedicated to identifying and resolving people’s real issues.”
He also announced plans to set up a medical college at Dhalai District Hospital and noted that Tripura has been recognised by NITI Aayog as a “Front Runner” state, reflecting its rapid progress and commitment to transparency through e-governance initiatives.
