Civil Defense and Disaster Allied Volunteers have worked tirelessly: Chief Minister

Agartala December 6: According to the decision of the state government, the number of civilian defense volunteers in the state will reach close to 1 percent of the total population in the coming days. The Government has taken a policy decision to ensure and encourage the activation of civilian volunteers. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this on All India Civil Defense and Home Guard Day on Wednesday.

On this day, various platoons of Home Guard, Civil Defence, National Disaster Response Force participated in the march past. After this, the Chief Minister took the parade salute. While discussing, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Apada Mitra volunteers are present in all districts of the state like civilian volunteers. Apada Mitra volunteers are also a mobilizing force for society in disaster management. Currently there are 1000 Apda Mitra volunteers in the state. The Chief Minister said that a fund has been set up to provide financial assistance to Home Guard Volunteers. Civil Defense and APADA Mitra volunteers have worked tirelessly in the Corona situation. The matter of new appointment will also be seen in the words of the Chief Minister. Its rehearsal is also shown on this day. Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and others were also present on the occasion.
