According to the details of the incident, last Saturday around 3 pm, a young girl from Badarghat area of the capital Agartala city was kidnapped by a miscreant youth named Suman Ghosh of Choumuhani Bazar Narayan Khamar area. On Sunday, the girl’s family filed a case of kidnapping against Suman Ghosh at Amtali police station. But even though it has been so long after filing the case, the police of Amtali police station is showing failure to rescue the girl. The incident was reported in the media. Due to that news, on Wednesday, the member of the State Child Protection and Rights Commission met the girl’s family to find out about the incident in detail and the child protection commission member Sharmila Chowdhury assured that the administration will do whatever the child protection commission needs to do. Sharmila Chowdhury told the media that Suman Ghosh, the kidnapper of Jamuni Bazar Narayan Khamar area had kidnapped the girl and raped her several times before. At that time, a case of kidnapping and rape was filed against him at Amtali Police Station and the accused Suman Ghosh was arrested and later released on bail from the court. Before the verdict of this case was announced, Suman Ghosh again said that the girl was kidnapped. Even then, the State Child Protection Commission played a special role in rescuing the girl. Once again, the State Child Protection and Redressal Commission has informed that Samman Ghosh, the main accused in the incident, needs the strictest punishment. And the State Child Protection and Rights Commission will try to do that.
