Chief Minister Highlights Importance of CD Ratio at North East Bankers’ Conclave

Agartala: Dec 21: The Chief Minister, Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, stated today at the North East Bankers’ Conclave that the CD ratio plays a crucial role in the economic development of the country and the state.

He mentioned that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, 10.83 lakh Jan Dhan bank accounts have been opened in Tripura so far. Additionally, ATM services are available in every district of the state. Furthermore, people of the state have benefited from the Prime Minister’s Mudra Loan Scheme.

Addressing the North East Bankers’ Conclave, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said that most of the villages in the state are covered under banking services. Central flagship schemes are being implemented to improve the financial system of the state. Along with this, loans are being provided for agriculture, MSMEs, and Mudra.

He emphasized that the CD ratio plays a crucial role in the economic development of the country and the state. In this regard, he expressed hope that banks will play a significant role in increasing the CD ratio in the coming days.
