Agartala, October 29: The Chief Minister of the state visited the house of Sumit Dey, general secretary of the North District BJP party. He promised to be with the bereaved family.
The sudden death of North District BJP Party General Secretary and Youth leader Sumit Dey is mourning among the ruling party workers across the state. State Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha landed at ONGC complex helipad in Dharmanagar in a chopper from Agartala on Sunday to console the bereaved family of Sumit. From there he went straight to Sumit Dey’s house.
Chief Minister and state BJP president among others held personal talks with Sumit Dey’s bereaved family and assured them of always being by their side. It may be noted that Sumit has only son who is studying in class IX. After 45 minutes, the Chief Minister along with others again boarded the chopper and left for Agartala.
State BJP President Rajeev Bhattacharjee, General Secretary Papiya Dutta, Minister Tinku Roy, Minister Santana Chakma, Assembly Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen, North District BJP President Malina Debnath, Dharmanagar Pur Parishad Chairman Pradyut De Sarkar, former Chairperson of Women’s Commission Varnali Goswami accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit. , Dharmanagar mandal president Shyamal Kanti Nath along with mandal officers at various levels of district and subdivision.
