Addressing the media, the Left MLAs criticized the state government, alleging that the state has been under misrule for the past six years, leading to widespread insecurity among the people. They highlighted the murder of Harishankar Saha as an example of the deteriorating law and order situation, claiming that the police failed to act because of political pressure.

The MLAs further alleged that incidents of murder, rape, and theft have become common, and the rule of law has been compromised under the current administration. They called for immediate action to restore security and justice in the state.
