 Central Government Allocates Additional 1.5 Billion Rupees for Tripura Tourism Development

Agartala: Mar 03: Tripura Tourism is set to receive an additional 1.5 billion rupees from the Central Government to further develop tourism in the region. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared this announcement on social media earlier today.

The minister revealed that he met with the Honorable Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Cabinet Minister of the Tourism Department of the Central Government, in New Delhi. During the meeting, Chowdhury provided an update on the various ongoing activities and future plans of the Tripura government’s tourism department.

On behalf of the tourism department, Chowdhury handed over a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Honorable Union Minister to seek support for the state’s tourism development. According to Chowdhury, the Union Tourism Minister assured comprehensive cooperation to enhance tourism in Tripura. The Secretary and Director of the Tourism Department were also present at the meeting.

The additional funding is expected to bolster the tourism infrastructure and attract more visitors to the state.
