Agartala April 12: Punjab National Bank entered its 129th year this year. This bank has many branches in different parts of the country as well as in the state. This bank has been serving the people of the city as well as the village. Like every year, the bank’s foundation day is celebrated through various programs. Various programs are held in Tripura along with the rest of the country. On Wednesday, social service programs were undertaken on the foundation day. A blood donation camp was held at Agartala Press Club on this day.
It was attended by Finance Minister Pranjit Sinharoy, General Manager of NABARD, AGM of the bank and others. The finance minister told the media that taking this initiative by the bank authorities is highly commendable. This initiative of the bank authorities is being congratulated especially by the state government because the blood donation camp was closed for the election. The Chief Minister has urged people from all parts of the state to come forward for blood donation camps. He said that everyone is coming forward in response to the Chief Minister’s call. Minister Roy also said that earlier blood donation camps were held only in the city. Now blood donation camps are also held in villages and towns in a festive mood. Even then, the challenge will be fulfilled on the day that blood donation will be a social responsibility and duty for everyone. The minister expressed the opinion that there was a lot of response around the blood donation camp.
