Black marketing will not be tolerated in Tripura, warns Food Minister

Agartala, June 21: Black market will not be tolerated in any way in Tripura. Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury gave a stern warning to the black marketers in a meeting of the secretariat today. He also added that the Tripura government will take strict action against those who are involved in increasing the prices of daily necessities. Basically, the food minister held the meeting today as a precautionary measure against the possibility of the national highway becoming in bad condition during the monsoon season.

On this day, he said, an important meeting has been organized to ensure that there is no shortage of essential commodities in Tripura during monsoon. For that, the Department of Food Public Procurement and Consumer Affairs has taken all kinds of advance measures. According to him, for the last few days, it has been observed that there is an unexpected increase in the price of food items in different parts of the state. Therefore, on this matter, the food department has discussed in detail the amount of food stock in the state.

 

He claimed that there is enough food stock in Tripura. He appealed not to create any kind of artificial crisis in the state. On his watch, Tripura government and food department will not tolerate black market in any way. The administration will take strict action against the dishonest traders. Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury urged the administration and the people to be vigilant to catch dishonest traders.
