Mayor Majumder, who is known for his active campaigning, recently visited the official residence of former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to cast his vote. His campaign efforts have garnered significant enthusiasm from the public, indicating strong support for the BJP candidates.

Speaking about the development of the Ramnagar area, Mayor Majumder emphasized the need for close voting to ensure progress. He expressed confidence that the BJP’s nominee would secure victory with a substantial margin.

Meanwhile, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury highlighted that Mayor Majumder would carry forward the unfinished work of the late MLA Surjit Dutta. Notably, Surjit Dutta had never compromised with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) in the past. However, the current political landscape sees the CPM and Congress at odds, a situation that the people of Ramnagar are unlikely to accept.
