Agartala: June 27: In a gesture aimed at enhancing bilateral ties, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent a thoughtful gift package to Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The package includes delicious mangoes, hilsa fish, and rasgolla, symbolizing the warmth and camaraderie between the two neighboring countries.

Tripura reciprocated by sending Queen Pineapple as a gift to Bangladesh’s Prime Minister. Today, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh dispatched 400 kg of Haribhanga mangoes, 50 kg of hilsa fish, and 50 kg of rosagolla—famous delicacies from Rangpur district—to the Chief Minister of Tripura. These gifts were transported via the Akhaura land port.

Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, the First Secretary and Head of Mission at the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, expressed optimism about the enduring friendship between Tripura and Bangladesh. He believes that this exchange of gifts will contribute to further strengthening the relationship and fostering development cooperation between the two nations.
