Agartala August 31: Auto drivers attempt to block Agartala-Khowai National Highway. Auto drivers refrained from the blockade after strict police warning. The incident happened on Thursday afternoon, it is known that autos that have received a specific route permit are running on other routes for a long time. Due to which the bitterness is increasing among the auto drivers and creates trouble.

On Thursday, one such incident was seen in Kamalghat area under Lefunga police station. On the Agartala Khowai National Highway, several autos with route permits from other areas were plying on the Kamalghat route on the Kamalghat area and the drivers of Kamalghat area who have got route permit are very angry. Kamalghat route permit auto drivers drop passengers from other route permit autos.

The autos with route permits of other areas were forced to flee from the scene without collecting any fare from the passengers under a kind of threat. The police administration is fully responsible for such incidents, according to the complaints of the motorists who have received route permits in the Kamalghat area. The police administration is not taking any effective action even though the autos with one route permit are moving along another route with passengers. Auto drivers with route permits in the Kamalghat area tried to block the busiest Agartala Khowai National Highway. But on this day, due to the strict vigilance of the police, their efforts to block this failed. Motorists refrain from blocking.
