Agartala: Jan 04: Minister for SC Welfare, ARDD, and Fisheries Department, Sudhangshu Das, who is also the sitting MLA of Fatikroy Assembly Constituency, announced that renowned playback singer Kunal Ganjawala will perform live at the Milan Mela 2025. Speaking to the media, Das outlined the preparations to make the 2025 Milan Mela more grand and impactful than ever before. The Mela, which started in 2018, aims to provide a platform for young people, diverting them from drugs and addiction while fostering a sense of unity and creativity.

The Milan Mela not only aims to entertain but also promotes messages of peace, harmony, and brotherhood among diverse communities. It brings together artists from various regions, showcasing their talents and encouraging cultural exchange. “The Mela is a celebration of talent and togetherness,” said Sudhangshu Das.

After a preparatory meeting on Saturday, the minister confirmed that the four-day Milan Mela will be held from January 29 to February 1, 2025. Artists from across the state, including Unakoti district, will participate in this cultural extravaganza. The program will run daily from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, with local artists performing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, followed by performances from popular out-of-state artists.

The second day of the Mela, January 30, will feature Kolkata’s renowned female artist Iman Chakraborty, while the third day will see the famous Kolkata band Fakira performing. The grand finale on February 1 will be graced by Bollywood playback singer Kunal Ganjawala.

Given the excitement generated, especially among the youth, the authorities are ensuring robust crowd management and logistical arrangements to accommodate the large turnout expected for this major cultural event.
