Agartala, June 30: Some traders are carrying on the business of selling intoxicants in some shops in the school premises. Against this, the school authorities along with the parents embarked on an anti-drug campaign. Tension spread around the incident in the area adjacent to Mungiakamibari XII School on Friday.

The headmaster of the school said that the unscrupulous traders have been selling intoxicants in some shops in the area adjacent to Mungiakamibari 12th school. As a result, some of the school students are getting addicted to drugs day by day. So forced this morning school authorities along with parents went to the shops and raided. In addition, he warned the dishonest businessmen that the sale of intoxicating products should be stopped in the school premises in the coming days.

 

He also said that according to the rules, it is completely prohibited to sell intoxicants within 200 yards of any educational institution.
