Agartala: April 24: In a recent incident, two tribal minors fell victim to a horrifying crime when they were gang-raped by seven tribal youths. The incident occurred on April 13 in Gangaram Para, under the jurisdiction of Srinagar police station. Following the heinous act, a rape case was filed against the seven accused on behalf of the minor victims’ family.

The police swiftly took action, arresting two minors and one accused above the age of 18, who were subsequently sent to court. Undeterred, the Srinagar police station continued their operation to apprehend the remaining accused. On Tuesday night, they successfully nabbed another minor suspect from the Jarulbachai Dukhiyakubra area. During questioning, the minor admitted to the truth of the alleged incident.

The minor accused is scheduled to appear before the Juvenile Court on Wednesday. So far, a total of four accused have been arrested in connection with this rape case. Authorities remain hopeful that the remaining three accused will be apprehended soon.
