In the days leading up to the festival, the temple is adorned with colorful decorations, and preparations are made for an elaborate feast. Local devotees contribute various traditional dishes, including rice, lentils, sweets, and seasonal vegetables, creating an impressive display of culinary art. The highlight of the celebration is the grand offering, or “bhog,” presented to Lord Jagannath, which is then shared among the devotees.

On the day of Annakut, the temple resonates with chants and hymns as devotees gather for the rituals. The atmosphere is filled with joy and devotion, with many participating in special prayers and offerings. After the ceremonial unveiling of the food offerings, devotees are invited to partake in the prasad, fostering a sense of community and shared spirituality.
