AMC holds meeting to keep the city free from traffic jams

Agartala, November 24 : Agartala Municipal Corporation is working on a multi-pronged plan to keep the city free from traffic jams. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar said this in the conference hall meeting of Municipal Corporation today. Besides, he said on this day, the evacuation operation will be started again in Nigam area from Monday.

In the meeting, the mayor said that under the direction of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, a meeting has been organized today in the conference hall of Agartala Municipal Corporation regarding traffic congestion relief. Earlier, several meetings have been held regarding the traffic congestion in the city.

Besides, various measures were taken to decongest the city of Municipal Corporation before the Puja. The campaign was closed on the occasion of Durga Puja and will resume again.

He also said that many decisions have been taken in today’s meeting to keep the city free from traffic jams. The decisions will be implemented in the next two days. One of the decisions is that those who are running business without vendor license in the corporation area will have to vacate the premises within two days. And if they disobey the corporation’s order, the eviction drive will be started again from Monday. Moreover, vehicles cannot be parked in no parking zones in various parts of the city.
