The decision comes in response to reports of numerous animal deaths, particularly monkeys, due to accidents while crossing the road. Previously, concerns were raised about the lack of initiatives by the Sepahijala District Forest Department. However, spurred by public awareness and media coverage, the department has now taken action.

These alternative traffic arrangements are expected to significantly reduce the mortality rate of animals within Sepahijala Sanctuary.
